Activity description
The 3 top equipments available

The facility is equipped with cutting-edge proteomics and mass spectrometry technologies (MALDI Imaging, label-free and absolute quantification).

Know-how, expertise available

The platform is staffed with highly specialized officers, involved in optimization and validation of cutting-edge technologies in two fields of proteomics: extensive proteome characterization of complex samples and imaging mass spectrometry for toxicology and clinics.

Main applications:

Biomarker discovery through conventional state-of-the-art proteomics technologies MALDI Imaging mass spectrometry for clinical proteomics and toxicology Protein characterization and study of their post-translational modifications

Extraction of key information from protein datasets through innovative integrative genomics appraoches.

Terms of availability for SMEs

The facility DOES NOT offer fee-for-service.
Access to the Biogenouest proteomics core facility is possible through :
- Scientific collaboration for projects using advanced technology that require the involvement of platform members.
- Do-it-yourself service, following initial training, for protein identification into gel pieces or data analysis (imaging, spectra analysis).

Whatever is the project you want to submit, you should follow these steps :
1. create an account through the platform web site
2. download the project submission file, complete it and send it at: proteome @ univ-rennes1.fr.
3. meet with the platform staff to present your project and the biological question(s) asked.
The meeting will allow us to define a strategy and choose the technical approach that is the most relevant to realize your project. It is also an opportunity for your collaborators to visit the technical facility and understand our technical and organizational constraints.
We usually dedicate Wednesday mornings for meetings with collaborators (10:00 AM-12:00 noon).
