Activity description
Know-how, expertise available

Research is essentially dedicated to experimental allo- and xeno-transplantation, and the work carried out is mainly focused on evaluating the effect of new immunoregulatory molecules in re-anastomosed transplant models, mimicking surgical procedures in humans. Additional research includes immunological follow-up and monitoring of animals that have been administered molecules such as cytokines, monoclonal antibodies, etc.

Services provided

The LGA facility is integrated within the Nantes University Hospital and is located within close proximity of the different research units and the technical core facility, so medical and research teams have easy access to the laboratory for experimental pre-clinical research. The laboratory, which covers a total area of 250 m², includes a 35 m² surgical unit equipped so two surgeries can be performed simultaneously, plus housing areas for primates and pigs.
