On the 12th of June 2014 the IN2LifeSciences Steering Committee meeting took place in Copenhagen. These pictures were made during the diner together with the Advisory Board.
On the 29th of April the STERN-Forum "Innovation and biomaterials" took place at the „Haus der Wirtschaft” in Stuttgart. The event focused on the projects Biomat-IN and IN2LifeSciences and attracted 46 participants from France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Denmark.
Visitors were given the possibility to do some effective matchmaking/networking and to visit the regional entrepreneurs' exhibition. During the Entrepreneur-Pitching-Session seven entrepreneurs from five partner regions had the chance to present their own company.
In2LifeSciences organized a medical design tour at the Medica fair. This initiative was proposed by CRITT Santé Bretagne, French partner of the project.
Indes, a design agency from The Netherlands, leaded a group of fifteen people (seven SMEs were represented) and explained the added value of industrial design for medical products. The tour begun at the AWEX booth (Walloon agency for exportation and investment), then concrete examples were taken from six exhibitors. Finally a discussion took place at the bw-I booth (Baden-Wüttermberg international). Iol strategic design, from Belgium, also commented how important it is to take users’ needs into account to bring a product onto the market.
IN2LifeSciences representatives could explain what the In2LifeSciences project can do for SMEs: financial incentives are available for transnational access to technology, to markets or to get in contact with investors.
57 companies and experts - from the 8 IN2LS regions - attended the matchmaking event on drug development in Rennes on 17 October, organized by IN2LifeSciences and the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). At least 82 1-on-1 meetings took place.
The brokerage event was very succesful. The setting was perfect to meet each other and learn more about each others business.
On 13 February 2013 an IN2lifesciences Business Angels Matching Event was organized in Amsterdam. 12 companies from 4 different countries participated. They received a “pitch training” in the morning and had to pitch in the afternoon, followed by informal networking. 40 Business Angels were present. Although no concrete investments have been made yet, SMEs and potential investors are still in touch with each other. The event has contributed to stronger investment propositions for the participating SMEs.
Biopeople, Denmark's Health and Life Science Innovation Network, hosted a technology brokerage event on 20 March 2013 together with EEN in order to present the financial, matchmaking,brokering, and coaching opportunities available to life science SMEs within the In2LifeSciences project.
After a quick introduction to the programme, there were three success stories from Danish SMEs and R&D institutes about their international collaboration projects for R&D and business innovation. These success stories showed how small incentives and pilot innovation projects can lead to large multi-partner collaborations, funded for example by EuroStars. Following a short networking break, representatives and companies from key bioregions & service providers in France, Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium briefly presented their opportunities.
Following the presentations, all SMEs were able to meet one-on-one with the bioregion representatives and service providers, with Danish providers, and with EEN and Biopeople.
The meeting ends with informal "Sushi and Beer" networking.
Eight observer organizations from Spain, Italy, Germany, Schotland, the Netherlands and Denmark met with the IN2LifeSciences Steering Group on Schiphol Airport on 12 April 2013.
There were extensive discussions about how to maximise the impact of the IN2LifeSciences project in Europe and how to work together. The results of the discussions will be integrated in the long-term strategy of IN2LifeSciences.
More than 1,000 participants have enjoyed the 7th edition of the Biomedica Summit which was held at the Eurogress in Aachen (Germany) on 19 June 2013.

98 companies have participated. 367 meetings have been organized in total. IN2LifeSciences had 31 contacts during the matchmaking event and at the booth.
On 24 June 350 Dutch Interreg stakeholders came together in Utrecht to talk about the results of the current Interreg programs and to look forward to the next ones, starting in 2014.
IN2LifeSciences was presented in this event by means of a dedicated booth.
